Submitting a request isn't the end of the job. This article shows how to see where your request is, edit it when you've filled it in wrong, and withdraw it when plans change.
View your requests
- Open the Requests module.
- Select the My requests tab.
- Use the department and time period filters to narrow it down.
- Switch between card view and list view using the two icons in the right corner.

Four tabs, four groups of requests
| Tab | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Pending approval | Requests you need to approve (if you are an approver) |
| My requests | Requests you have submitted — this is the tab you will use most often |
| Accepted | Requests that have been fully approved |
| Rejected | Rejected requests, with the reason |
Edit a submitted request
Requests that are pending approval can usually be edited. Requests that are already approved cannot — you must withdraw and resubmit, or ask your manager to handle it.
If you only need to fix a small detail and the approver hasn't looked at it yet, the fastest way is to message the approver to reject the request, then resubmit the correct request. This is faster than waiting for the withdrawal process.
Withdraw a request
Whether you can withdraw depends on the configuration of each request type:
| Request status | Can it be withdrawn? |
|---|---|
| Pending approval | Usually yes — cancel the request right in the list |
| Approved, effective date not yet reached | Yes, if the administrator has enabled the option allowing employees to delete approved requests |
| Approved, effective date has passed | No. Contact HR to handle it another way |
| Rejected | No need to withdraw — submit a new request |
Withdrawing an approved leave request will return the days to your leave balance. Check the balance table after withdrawing to make sure the number is correct.
Requests waiting too long
- Open the request and see which step it is stuck at and who the approver for that step is.
- Message that person directly with the request code.
- If that person is away, notify HR or the administrator — they can add a substitute approver (article B8-06).
Rejected requests
- Read the rejection reason before resubmitting — resubmitting the exact same request will get it rejected again.
- If the reason is unclear, ask the approver directly; don't guess.
- Fix exactly what was commented on, then submit a new request.
