Manage shift meals for businesses that have a canteen or order meals for employees. Meal data is tied to shifts, so it lives in the Time & Attendance module.

How meals work
- Configure the rules in Time & Attendance › Settings › MEALS › General.
- Employees register for meals through the Meals request in the Requests module — see article group B8.
- The Meals screen in the Time & Attendance module totals the number of meals by day and by shift.
- The figures are used to order meals from the supplier and to calculate deductions or allowances on the payroll.

If your business pays a fixed monthly shift meal allowance, don't use this module. Setting up an allowance in the Payroll Template (article group B9) is much simpler and requires no one to register for anything.

- You have data to negotiate with your meal supplier.
- Shift meal deductions or allowances are calculated automatically on the payroll instead of being compiled by hand.
