Setting up project-based attendance tracking

Project-based attendance tracking is commonly used in the construction industry, allowing for the tracking of work hours or days worked on each project. Employees can move between projects and record attendance for each of these projects.

Steps:

Step 1: Choose Avatar → Setting

Step 2: Choose Attendance→ Mobi;e → Project

Step 3: Fill in the required information. 

Name: You can set the name of the project.

  • Project code: Generated naturally.
  • Branch, department: Where attendance is applied.
  • Address: The address or coordinates of the project.
  • Radius: The allowed radius for attendance for the project.
  • Reminder color: The color displayed on the attendance board.
  • Status: Active or inactive.

To schedule and record attendance for projects, check the Filter by Project section in the Attendance Board.

Question 1: What is project-based timekeeping configuration?

Answer: This configuration is commonly used by construction companies that operate across various projects. Tanca allows you to configure timekeeping by project, enabling you to assign which employees are allowed to clock in at specific projects. Working days/hours will be reported separately for each project.

Question 2: If an employee is working on Project A and is set up to clock in at Project A, can they clock in at Project B?

Answer: If the employee is not configured to clock in at Project B, they will not be able to clock in at Project B or any other unauthorized projects.
