Where new announcements appear

  • The notification bell in the top-right corner — it shows a red dot with a number when there are unread items.
  • Push notifications on your phone, if you have enabled notification permissions for the Tanca app.
  • Communication › Announcements — the full list, for looking up older announcements.

Not receiving notifications on your phone? Check the app's notification permissions and battery-saving settings following the instructions in B24-03 (iOS) and B24-04 (Android), or see D1-03.

Reading an announcement

When you open an announcement, you see: the title, the sender, the time, the announcement type label, the Branch / Department section showing who the announcement was sent to, the full content, and Attachments if any.

Attachments have a download button. For long documents — workflows, workplace rules, forms — the attached PDF is usually the complete version, while the body only summarizes the changes. Open the file before acknowledging.

When the company asks you to acknowledge reading

Some announcements are sent with an acknowledgment request. For these announcements, you need to click the acknowledge button after reading; your name will be added to the Employees who acknowledged list that administrators can view.

Acknowledge only after you have actually read it, including the attachments. An acknowledgment is a record in the system showing that you have been informed of the content — for safety procedures or HR policies, this is something to do carefully, not just click through.

Pinned announcements

The company can pin an announcement so it always stays at the top of the list. These are usually content that is currently in effect and needs to be referred to repeatedly — holiday work schedules, newly adopted workflows.

Finding an old announcement

Go to Communication › Announcements and scroll through the list; each page shows 15 rows. The list does not yet have a search box, so if the announcement is old, use the Created date column to trace it by time, or ask the HR department.

If you need to look up a document frequently, ask HR whether that document has been added to the Information Center — it has a search box there and you can star it for quick access (B20-05).
